Have you wanted to get your Contractor’s license? Well, one of the first things you need to do is to take the Florida’s Contractor’s License Exam. These exams are administered by Professional Testing, Inc (PTI) and are given every two months (February, April, June, August, October, & December). Some licenses are only given every four months. After signing up to take the exam, we recommend that our students buy their books. Since the exam is an open book exam, we feel that the more familiar the students are with the books, the better they do on the exam. Finally, you might think about taking a class. We offer classes for General, Builder, Residential, Roofing, Underground Utility, Plumbing Contractors, Mechanical and Air Conditioning, Solar, Sheet Metal and Fireline.
All of our exam prep courses are very similar in structure and layout. We will spend time in each class discussing book layout, key sections and do some highlighting. We will also create and show solutions to math problems that are similar to what the state has on the exam, where applicable. We will also give timed tests in class and tests for you to take home. Finally, we will discuss the mental preparation that you need to pass this exam as well as discuss the layout, format and administration of the exam.

This license is for plumbing and underground utility contractors who want to install water systems for fire protection. Our 2-day course prepares you for one of the state’s most difficult exams. The Electrical Contractor’s exam is offered in two parts: a Business section and a Technical/Safety section
Technical/Safety course
This three day course will cover all the material necessary to pass the computerized exam and present the material in an easy to follow manner. The student will highlight material in the reference books and take exams during class. By the end of the class, the student will also have an exam simulating the computer format. Since this is a hands-on class, the student is encouraged to ask questions. As with all of our classes, we don’t mix other licenses. Business course
Similar to the technical/safety section above, this one day course will cover all that you need in the exam. Just because there is only one book on the business section, doesn’t mean that this part is easy. The Florida Contractor’s Manual can be one of the most difficult reference sources used on Florida Contractor’s Exams. We have proven experience with this book and we can help you pass.
